Our Favourite Film Star

Back in the halcyon days of the cinemas before the advent of television, we were hooked on `the big screen` with its programmes changing twice a week- Mondays and Thursdays.  Worth noting that no shows were available on Sundays apart from Health Films at selected theatres.  The State was one of them.

I f I am an example, we all had a favourite above all the rest of the stars of the big                                            screen.

"What was yours?" I can hear you ask.  Well it was Robert Taylor.

I think his portrayal of Billy the Kid was way beyond those actors who preceded him and                             ultimately those who followed in the role.  At least that is my opinion.
