long gone and I have been trying to get the words for our folk group. Would

to a pub in Lossiemouth - a crowd decided to sing Flower of Scotland - nothing wrong with
that you might say except the pub was almost entirely full of RAF Personnel from the nearby

(my ex-husband is English too, by the way!)

Song:     "WE ARE THE 10TH"

Memory:     Capt. Willie Chalmers wrote this for the 10th Leith B.B.'s in the mid 40's. And it wis a
grrrreat marching tune, for the 10th's bugle band (I played the big drum). It went something
like this ..."We are the 10th, We are the 10th, We are the 10th Leith Company, throughout
the town, in great renown,  We are the 10th Leith Company, And when the drums are
beating and the bugles play, We march along behind them in the B.B. way, We are the
10th, We are the 10th..."   C'mon now altogether! The tune still reverberates and often I
have a couple of young grandkids marchin' up and doon the loaby, singin' it, wi' me
jinin' in. Grrreat memories and happy times!
