I am ever so grateful to Bill Yorkston for supplying me with this photograph of the MV Cairndhu. The vessell plied between Leith, Halifax and Montreal, Canada carrying grain and general deck cargo during the 1950s - 60s.
I was aware of this ship during my early working days in the shipyards of Henry Robb and have many happy memories of it in 1956 when I was privileged to sail on it as a passenger when returning from Canada..
