I have probably missed some out.  Telectra House was originally on the corner of Great Junction Street and Pirie Street before moving to the site of the old Store Boardrooms on Cables Wynd/Great Junction Street.  Telectra is now demolished and flats built on the site.

The `Store` was once a great employer of boys to do the morning milk deliveries.  They were issued with a two wheeled cart and there were no days off, being a seven day delivery service.  Girls were given the job of morning rolls delivery.  My wage at the time, 1948 was 9/- per week.

We used to get a yearly outing to Dunbar with a train from the Leith Central Station.

Alas,  the `store` as we knew it no longer exists.  All the local co-ops now come under the name of Scotmid, with stores around the country.  All minor supermarkets.
Two milkboys in Connel`s Close (Old Sugarhouse Close) 1953  This led from Tolbooth Wynd through to St Andrew`s Street.
