Born in Henderson St; six sisters and four brothers so we were well known. Lost one sister, Nan & two brothers, Billy & Alex. The rest of us are soldiering on. Sparky to to trade; been all over; worked in Saudi for a while then came back to my old stomping ground, Henry Robbs.
Still meet a few of the old faces but it always seems to be at Warriston!!! Some still walking. I have a son and daughter. My son works and lives in Northern Ireland and my daughter lives in Windsor. Three lovely grandchildren. Have been an O.A.P. for eight years now.

Winchburgh, West Lothian. I have just discovered this website and as luck would have it I chose to read the contribution by Eric Kerr. He will rememner the old house in the big backgreen where I was born then moved to 96 Duke Street.
His story reads like my life history. I was one of the kids evacuated at the beginning of the war to Dunbar and yes we got on the train at the entrance under the bridge at Easter Road. Eric did you live on the top flat? I was on second flat next door to the Scott,s now little Ann Scott is now lady farmer wife of a millionaire.
Its a wonderful world eh? I went to Lochend Road primary and then to Leith Academy. I was married in the church hall across from the street from 96. My best man was Harry Kennedy who stayed on the first flat at 96. My wedding reception was held in the Bakers Rooms in North Fort street. Well I will have to stop now as I am a novice at the typing game, strictly one finger stuff. May add some more at a later date.
